At the ZIM Day 2023, which took place on February 7, 2023 at the LFG Oberholz, Ms. Anne Seidel, PhD student of the Institute of Immunology, supervised by Dr. Maria Eschke, could convince the audience with her poster. Ms. Seidel is working on a project that is located at the interface between immunology and bacteriology and is part of the coopertion project of Prof. Alber with Prof. Baums from the Institute of Bacteriology and Mycology. It is about the characterization of B1-like B cells and their response to bacterial sugar molecules of the pathogen Streptococcus suis.
The audience was able to award points for several rubrics, including design, discussion and the presentation. Ms. Seidel was able to score the most audience points. For this, she received a book voucher, presented by Dr. Schnabel, the meeting organizer and kindly sponsored by the Friends of VMF.
