Abstract
Martina Protschka is a biologist and works since 2004 at the University of Leipzig. Under supervision of Prof. Manfred Blessing she investigated the Ets-transcription factor Elf3 in the murine gut at the Institute of Molecular Pathogenesis. Since 2010 she works for Prof. Gottfried Alber at the Institute of Immunology at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Her methodological portfolio includes molecular genetic methods, amongst others establishment and realization of gene expression analysis by means of RT-qPCR, execution and improvement of immunhistological detection procedures, protein biochemistry (western blotting), establishment of primary cell cultures (muscles, fibroblasts, keratinocytes), cultivation, proliferation and cryoconservation of eukaryotic cells, virus production and titer determination as well as infection of eukaryotic cells using virus.
