The DVG-Vet-Congress 2024, held from October 30 to November 2 at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin, was a resounding success, offering a wealth of engaging lectures and discussions on current topics in veterinary medicine. However, one of the most memorable moments of the event was the award ceremony of the Dres. J. & G. Bruns-Stiftung for Innovative Veterinary Medicine, presented to Dr. Christiane Schnabel from the Institute of Immunology at VMF University Leipzig.

Dr. Christiane Schnabel Receives Prestigious Award for Outstanding Research

The award ceremony took place during the opening event on Thursday, October 31, 2024, where Dr. Schnabel was presented with the prize in front of a large audience.

In addition to the award ceremony, the congress featured many other significant events. Among them was the 70th Annual Congress of the German Society for Small Animal Medicine (DGK), focusing on the theme "Science for Practice." This session explored the latest scientific findings and their practical applications in small animal veterinary care.

The congress also hosted specialized events, including the 7th International Congress on Equine Medicine, a meeting of the German Buiatric Society on cattle health, and various other sessions that fostered interdisciplinary dialogue across different veterinary specialties.

The award ceremonies throughout the congress were another major highlight. In addition to the Dres. J. & G. Bruns-Stiftung Award, other prestigious awards were presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to research and practice in veterinary medicine. The ceremonies provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of those driving innovation and excellence in the field.
